I recently (10/17/22) took a short drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway from Boone, NC south to north of Asheville NC.The photography below are samples of the color that I saw. The images were taken with a Nikon D810 and a Tamron 24-70mm lens
It was fortunate that it rained the day before leaving clouds in the scenes.
In addition the the color of the foliage colors there seems to be a blue overcast in the imagese (Blue Ridge?)
